UX DESIGNER, ARTIST & MAKER

During my first internship at Adobe, John Nelson introduced me to Seth Walker to collaborate on interface designs for an After Effects animation feature. Walker is one of few designers in the research organization, and is highly experienced with interfaces, graphic design, and animation. Seth invited me to return to Adobe the following summer (2023) to continue doing design work together. We brainstormed on topics for a summer research project, and both having background in animation, we decided to explore the intersection of AI and motion graphics. We met with other researchers to gain an understanding of this area and conducted our own experiments. We then co-designed interfaces for this theoretical tool using Adobe XD. Later, we presented functional wireframes to the Research Organization, and at the annual intern project showcase in San Jose. Our design work is confidential, but it did go on to influence an established feature within Adobe Express, as Walker continued our work after my internship ended.
