Ideation & Planning

Our team came together with a shared interest in creating an interactive art installation inspired by immersive spaces like those at Meow Wolf.

During our initial meetings—held on zoom during COVID lockdown—we connected over the social challenges brought on by the pandemic. United by a common sense of isolation, we decided to channel those feelings into a design that would foster connection and reflection. During this time, we conducted feasibility testing, an implementation plan, and a timeline for completion.

Feasibility Testing & Prototyping

While our whole process can be viewed on the documentation blog here, our design procedure is summarized below:

Feasibility Testing

Our team knew from the start that we wanted our project to involve projection mapping onto 3D sculptures. We met in our teammate's garage with a  projector and began feasibility testing.
